- Münz (Minz), Moses
- (c. 1750-1831)Hungarian rabbi. He was born either in Podolia or in Galicia. He served as a rabbi in Vishravitz and Brody, then in 1789 was appointed rabbi of Alt-Ofen, where he represented the Jewish community at royal ceremonies. In 1793 he became chief rabbi of the entire Pest region. Initially tolerant of reformers, he later became anatagonistic towards them. He wrote responsa and published (with annotations) the Peri Ya'akov of Jacob ben Moses.
